FAQs

What does J&K do different?

J&K is a family owned and operated company, focused on providing honest full-flavored beef, lightly seasoned and smoked to perfection.  We offer small batch, hand crafted, big slab jerky, the way it should be made.

When will my order ship?

Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. You will receive a tracking email once your order is fulfilled.

How long does shipping take?

Delivery usually takes 2–5 business days depending on location. Remote areas may take slightly longer. Please refer to your shipment tracking for true timelines.

My order says delivered but I do not have it.

Please check around your property, ask neighbors, and wait 24 hours as carriers sometimes pre-scan deliveries. If it is still missing after 24 hours, contact customerservice@jkjerky.com or our website chat feature with your order number.

What is the difference between the brisket and traditional lineup?

The brisket is made from real slabs of brisket meat (cut from the pectoral region), whereas the traditional jerky is made from the top round.  The brisket is soft and tender, whereas the traditional line is your classic “grip-it and rip-it” jerky.

Do you accept returns?

Due to food safety regulations, we do not accept returns on food items. If there is an issue with your order, please contact us customerservice@jkjerky.com and we will be happy to help.

What is El Jefe?

El Jefe is a dynamic snack company, offering chamoy-flavored gummies, extreme sour gummies, and Hispanic beef jerky and nuts. To learn more, visit https://www.eljefesnacks.com

Where do you source your meat from?

All of our meat is sourced locally from the United States.

Where do you make the jerky?

In order for our jerky to stay small batch, hand crafted we have had to open multiple production facilities on the West Coast - California, Idaho, and Vegas.

Are your products gluten free?

The majority of our brisket line is gluten free.  Please refer to the nutritional facts to confirm.

My jerky has white spots on it.  What is that?

White material can be a variety of things including mold, fat, or grease.  Since we use premium beef with such big slices, you will see lots of marbling on our slabs. Also, a little bit of fat is a completely normal occurrence and does happen from time to time. The product is completely safe to eat.

If you have any concerns with the product, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team who is more than happy to help.

What is the best way to store my jerky?

Our jerky is 100% shelf-stable in a cool, ambient environment. It does not require any special handling or refrigeration.

How long will my jerky last when I open the bag?

If the jerky has a re-sealable bag the product should be consumed within 3 days of opening the bag.  If the bag is not re-sealable the jerky should be consumed that same day.

What is the shelf life of J&K jerky?

In a cool, ambient environment the jerky is shelf-stable for one year.  Please always refer to the expiration date on the bag before consumption.
